Justiceasy is a technology-enabled legal services platform that facilitates access to limited-scope legal services through subscription-based legal care plans. Justiceasy partners with licensed Ontario lawyers and paralegals who independently provide legal services to members on a fixed-fee, file-by-file basis.

Justiceasy is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. All legal services are delivered exclusively by licensed professionals who retain complete professional independence, exercise their own legal judgment, and remain fully responsible for compliance with applicable legislation and the Law Society of Ontario's professional conduct requirements.

Our Business Model

Justiceasy facilitates the assignment of discrete legal matters to licensed Ontario lawyers and paralegals based on practice area, availability, and capacity.

The model is designed to:

  • Improve access to affordable legal services.
  • Reduce administrative and billing complexity for legal professionals.
  • Provide predictable, fixed-fee compensation.
  • Enable licensees to increase utilization while maintaining complete professional independence.
  • Support efficient delivery of limited-scope legal services through a transparent commercial framework.

Justiceasy functions as a service facilitator and administrative platform—it does not replace the professional responsibilities of licensed legal service providers.

How the Model Operates

Independent File Assignment

Transparent, voluntary file matching

Legal matters are assigned based on:

  • Practice area
  • Professional experience
  • Availability
  • Current capacity

Each file includes:

  • A clearly defined scope of work.
  • A predetermined fixed fee.
  • Full disclosure of the engagement before acceptance.

Participation is entirely voluntary. Licensees may accept or decline any file without penalty.

Client Relationship

The solicitor-client or paralegal-client relationship exists directly between the licensed legal service provider and the client.

Justiceasy does not assume responsibility for legal representation and does not participate in legal decision-making.

Licensed professionals remain responsible for:

  • Competence.
  • Confidentiality.
  • Conflicts screening and management.
  • Professional liability obligations.
  • Ensuring matters fall within their authorized scope of practice.
  • Compliance with all applicable professional obligations.

Marketing & Client Acquisition

Justiceasy manages member acquisition and administrative intake.

Participating licensees:

  • Are not required to market their legal services.
  • Do not solicit Justiceasy members.
  • May accept or decline assignments at their discretion.
  • Remain independent legal professionals throughout every engagement.

What Justiceasy Is

Justiceasy is:

  • A subscription-based legal care plan that facilitates access to limited-scope legal services.
  • A file-assignment and payment facilitation platform.
  • A fixed-fee commercial arrangement between Justiceasy and licensed legal professionals.
  • An administrative model designed to reduce operational complexity.
  • A system that assigns matters based on a licensee's practice area, availability, and capacity.

What Justiceasy Is Not

Justiceasy is not:

  • A law firm.
  • A legal service provider.
  • A referral fee arrangement.
  • Fee-sharing with a non-licensee.
  • Contingency or outcome-based compensation.
  • An interference with legal judgment.
  • Supervision or control of legal services.
  • A substitute for a licensee's professional responsibilities.
  • A trust-fund or traditional retainer-based model during the initial limited-scope engagement.

Regulatory Framework

Justiceasy's business model has been designed to operate within the framework of Ontario legislation and the professional obligations governing licensed lawyers and paralegals.

The model is intended to:

  • Preserve the independence and accountability of licensed legal professionals.
  • Avoid impermissible referral fee arrangements.
  • Avoid prohibited fee-sharing with non-licensees.
  • Support transparent, fixed-fee compensation.
  • Maintain clear separation between administrative services and the delivery of legal advice.

Nothing in the Justiceasy partnership model is intended to limit, modify, or override a licensee's professional, ethical, or regulatory obligations.

Our platform has been structured to preserve the independence of licensed professionals, maintain the integrity of the solicitor-client and paralegal-client relationship, and ensure that lawyers and licensed paralegals remain solely responsible for their legal advice, professional judgment, and compliance with all applicable legislation, Rules of Professional Conduct, and Law Society of Ontario requirements.
